Rachel Gezerseh is a partner at the Los Angeles litigation boutique, Liang Ly LLP. Her practice involves a wide variety of complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts, where she represents both plaintiffs and defendants. She has substantial experience in products liability and consumer protection matters, as well as in contract and business tort cases. Gezerseh’s peers have consistently recognized her as a Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star.” She has been featured in Bloomberg Law and ABA for Law Students and is the author of the Law Career Playbook, the leading networking guide for law students and new lawyers.

Re: Franita Tolson

Franita Tolson was interviewed about how federal lawsuits from North Carolina, Alabama, and Arkansas test the limits of the Voting Rights Act, the boundaries of state government authority, and the ability of voting rights groups to file racial gerrymandering cases. “These doctrines and approaches in these cases fundamentally reset the rules of the game,” she said. “In 2030 we will live in a completely different world than we lived in in 2020, and 2020 was not favorable to minority voters at all.”
