Roger Schroeder has had a diverse career on both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industry. He earned a JD degree from the USC Gould School of Law and as well as a Master of Fine Arts from the Peter Stark Motion Picture Producing Program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He spent 13 years as an attorney at a boutique entertainment firm in Century City, where he represented the major studios and networks on various copyright and rights issues. He is now in-house at NBCUniversal where he is part of the studio’s team of lawyers providing guidance to its film, television, cable and streaming divisions on the production of new properties, as well as the continuing success of previously produced and historical properties.

Schroeder is well-versed in the creative side of the business. He wrote the film “A Boyfriend for Christmas,” which has become a perennial inclusion on the Hallmark Channel each holiday season. He also served as a writer of the popular NBC TV series “Days of Our Lives,” winning an Emmy award for his work on the series in 2012 and was nominated for a WGA Award in 2013.

In addition, Schroeder is a member of both the WGA and the Television Academy. He previously taught at UCLA Extension for 15 years.
