Pamela G. Chin is a lecturer in law and teaches Legal Writing at USC Gould School of Law. A litigator while in private practice, she then focused on insurance coverage and business matters while working as corporate counsel in the major litigation department of the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). Subsequently Chin was Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Parsons Corporation, specializing in federal government contracts. A cum laude graduate of Harvard Radcliffe College with a BA in Social Studies, Chin earned her JD from UCLA School of Law.

Re: Orin Kerr

Orin Kerr was cited for his recent editorial on his experience taking the California bar exam much later in life in order to practice law in another state. "It’s not like you can test lawyerly competence among 20 topics any better than with 10 topics," Kerr commented. "It just requires more time memorizing, and it’s not obvious what that has to do with lawyerly ability.”
