G. Matthew (Matt) McCloskey is a partner at McDermott Will & Emery. He focuses his practice on post-grant proceedings, patent appeals and patent prosecution before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also advises clients on managing their global patent portfolios.

McCloskey has extensive experience with inter partes review (IPR) proceedings and administrative appellate work, including oral arguments, before the USPTO's Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB). He has worked on patent matters before the International Trade Commission (ITC), and supports patent infringement litigation, intellectual property licensing and intellectual property due diligence for corporate mergers and acquisitions.
