Charles Cronin is a musician and lawyer in Los Angeles. He established the Music Copyright Infringement Resource online archive while a graduate student at Berkeley in 1997 and continues to oversee the archive’s increasingly distributed authorship. Cronin received a BA from Oberlin College & Conservatory, a MA and PhD in Musicology from Stanford University, a JD from American University Washington College of Law, and a MA in Information Systems from UC Berkeley.

Susan Estrich published a commentary on the possibility of a nomination and potential to win the election for certain politicians. “Sadly, I knew the difference between winning a nomination and winning a general election,” Estrich said. “A year before, when I took over the campaign, I was already a well-known ‘rules junkie’ in Democratic circles, a veteran of two cycles and three campaigns, not to mention the rules fights at the 1980 convention and the two rules commissions that always followed our defeats.”
