As assistant dean of development, Margaret Anne Kean leads the major gift and annual giving efforts of the school to grow and sustain philanthropic support and engagement among USC Gould School of Law alumni and friends.
Kean has over 21 years of fundraising and nonprofit management experience, most recently as executive director of advancement at USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Prior to joining USC in 2013, she held a variety of leadership development roles in education and health services, including chief development officer for an independent school, president of the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation, executive director of Cancer Support Community Pasadena and associate director at Pomona College. Kean previously worked in non-profit and corporate public relations for 17 years, including service at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena and Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation. A native of California, Kean holds a BA in British/American Literature from Scripps College in Claremont and an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from Antioch University/Los Angeles.
