Join us for our upcoming in-person Information Session on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the USC University Park Campus, Amy King Dundon-Berchtold University Club (705 West 34th Street, LA 90089), to learn more about our Master of Studies in Law (MSL) degree!
Our on campus Master of Studies in Law degree provides a foundation in working with and understanding laws, regulations and contracts. By applying to our innovative progressive master's degree program, you will gain an understanding of legal and compliance issues found in business, government, human resources, counseling, education, compliance, social work and many other industries.
If you are a current USC undergraduate student, you may apply during your junior (third) year and you will begin your graduate course work during your senior (fourth) year.
- You will earn both a bachelor's and master's degree in just five years.
- You must have at least a 3.0 cumulative USC GPA at the time of application.
- GRE scores are not required.
- There is no application fee.
Please note that this degree is not intended to train students for careers as attorneys, nor to prepare them for any state bar exam.
Applicants to the progressive degree program must have completed 64 units since high school graduation and must submit their completed application prior to the completion of 96 units of course work. (AP units, IB units and course work taken prior to high school graduation are excluded). You must apply in your junior year.
- You must complete a Progressive Degrees Program — Proposed Course Plan form as part of the application process. This is necessary to determine how future terms of registration will apply to your progressive degree requirements.
- You must complete the Application for Admission to a Progressive Master's Program form.
- The Application Deadline is June 1, 2019, for enrollment in the fall semester only.
