Street Law

Mission of Street Law

  • Teach students about different aspects of the law and how it relates to their lives.
  • Develop an ethic of service among law students as well as giving law students the opportunity to experience the community around them.
  • Welcome and encourage the participation of all USC Law School students.

History of Street Law

  • Street Law is a nationally recognized program that exists in various forms at many law schools.
  • This will be the third year of the current USC Street Law chapter.
  • The focus of USC Street Law has developed into connecting law students with middle and high school students and teaching them how the law relates to their lives.

Street Law's Programs

  • Classroom sessions: law students teach three lessons a semester at multiple schools around USC.
  • Mentor Day: In the fall, all students who participated in Street Law are invited to the USC Law Campus so they can see what it is like to be a law student.
