The Intellectual Property Institute has forged a reputation for gathering national speakers to analyze sophisticated topics and provide practical takeaways to attendees. Chief Judge Sharon Prost (Fed. Cir.)(D.C.) was our luncheon keynote speaker at the 2016 Institute. Our lineup of Federal Judges included Chief Judge Leonard P. Stark (D. Del.), Judge Andrew Guilford (C.D. Cal.), Judge Alex Kozinski (9th Cir.)(Pasadena), Judge Pierre Leval (2nd Cir.)(NY), Judge Barbara Lynn (N.D. Tex.), Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell (C.D. Cal.) and Judge Gail Standish (C.D. Cal.).
Professor Mark Lemley returnd for the IP Year in Review and was joined by Professors Christine Haight Farley (American University) and Peter Menell (UC Berkeley Law), while other prominent academics included Professors Jane Ginsburg (Columbia Law School), David Nimmer (UCLA) and David Schwartz (Northwestern University Law).
Throughout the day prominent public officials included the Director of the USPTO, the General Counsel of the FCC, and the General Counsel and Associate Register of Copyright, will be among the featured panelists.
