Focusing on copyright, patent and trademark law, the Institute features morning plenary sessions, a luncheon keynote address, afternoon tracked breakout sessions, and six networking opportunities, including a special networking breakfast for women in IP and a hosted cocktail reception at the end of the day.

The 2015 Institute attracted over 600 registrations and featured Jonathan Anschell (CBS), Gary Roberts (Fox) and John Rogovin (Warner Bros.), the general counsel from major studios and networks sharing their insights at lunch. Professors Lemley, Nimmer and McCarthy returned for the popular IP Year in Review. The Hon. Joy Flowers Conti (W.D. Pa.), the Hon. Rodney Gilstrap (E.D. Tex.), the Hon. Barbara Lynn (N.D. Tex.), the Hon. Gregory Sleet (D. Del.) and the Hon. Leonard Stark (D. Del.) discussed the new world of intellectual property; the Hon. Marilyn Huff (S.D. Cal.), the Hon. S. James Otero (C.D. Cal.) and the Hon. Paul Singh Grewal (N.D. Cal.) talked about emerging trends in patent litigation, and the Hon. Faith Hochberg (D.N.J.) and the Hon. James Donald Smith (PTAB) considered the new world of PTAB proceedings. We also held a Patent Damages Roundtable on March 23, 2015.
