Anya Goldin is an accomplished senior executive and board member, with 27 years of experience and demonstrated success across the law, telecommunications, oil and gas, retail, healthcare, pharmaceuticals entertainment, private equity and venture capital industries. Her broad areas of expertise include cross-border transactions, complex disputes, crisis management, corporate governance, raising capital, restructurings, as well complex disputes.
Goldin currently advises companies on strategic and business issues, complex transactions, particularly in venture capital, private equity and technology sectors, as well as corporate restructurings, asset recovery and multi-jurisdictional litigation management. She has also co-founded a technology start-up Provenance Laboratories, and engages in entrepreneurial, investment and philanthropic activities.
Throughout her executive career, Goldin has held leadership positions as a manging partner at Latham & Watkins (17 years), as well as the general counsel, vice president and chair of the Risk Management Committee at Sistema (8 years), an LSE-listed company. She has lead numerous significant international M&A, corporate finance transactions and IPOs, and managed complex multi-billion dollar and multi-jurisdictional disputes. She has also proved instrumental in overseeing all major international transactions and complex multijurisdictional litigation and arbitration matters of Sistema’s subsidiaries, four of which were listed on the NYSE and LSE. Additionally, in her work with Latham & Watkins, she represented issuers in IPOs and debt offerings, including SEC-registered offerings and Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings of debt and equity securities. She also led 11 IPOs on the NYSE and LSE.
Goldin has been a board member of 10 public and private companies in Europe, Russia, and the UK. She also served as the vice chair of the Board of Directors of Redline Capital Management, a Luxembourg regulated private equity fund, and is currently on the Advisory Board of Lumia Capital.
Goldin holds a BA in Mass Communications from UC Berkeley, as well as a JD from UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of her class with both degrees.
Goldin has been named a Lawyer’s Lawyer in The Global Law & Business, Partner of the Month by The Lawyer magazine, and ranked as one of the Top-50 business women in Russia by The Company business magazine.

Jean Reisz was interviewed whether the city of Los Alamitos opting out of California's sanctuary state law serves as evidence that the law is in violation of federal law. "Whether or not Los Alamitos opted out, that's not evidence that these laws are in violation of federal law," said Reisz. "It's just showing the city isn't in support of it or doesn't want to follow it."
