Robyn Kali Bacon is a deputy chief in the General Crimes Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, where she heads the Criminal Complaints unit. Previously, she was an AUSA in the Violent and Organized Crime Section where she prosecuted and tried numerous complex cases involving violent crime, gangs and child exploitation. Bacon was also the International Organized Crime coordinator and the co-coordinator for the Conviction and Sentencing Alternatives ("CASA") program, a joint pre-trial diversion program operated by the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Federal Public Defender, the district court and U.S. Pretrial Services aimed toward providing an alternative to incarceration for certain federal defendants. Before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Bacon was a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles and Olson.

Bacon is a graduate of Harvard Law School, USC Film School and Harvard University.

Jean Reisz was interviewed whether the city of Los Alamitos opting out of California's sanctuary state law serves as evidence that the law is in violation of federal law. "Whether or not Los Alamitos opted out, that's not evidence that these laws are in violation of federal law," said Reisz. "It's just showing the city isn't in support of it or doesn't want to follow it."
