The 2012 Tax Institute - Three Days of Tax Tips
While planning is still underway, the 2012 Institute will again feature top speakers sharing vital takeaways.
- Monday - Business Tax Planning
Monday's sessions focus on corporate and business tax planning issues, with separate programming tracks on tax planning for large corporations and for privately held businesses. The day will be capped by a hosted networking reception and intimate evening workshops. Popular returning speaker Mark Silverman will kick off the day with his annual review of recent developments in corporate tax planning. Selvi Stanislaus, Executive Officer of the California Franchise Tax Board, will provide the keynote luncheon address. - Tuesday - Partnerships, Individual, and Ethics
Tuesday features three concurrent tracks of programming, focusing on partnerships and real estate, individual tax planning, and tax ethics, compliance and enforcement issues. The day will end with a hosted networking reception and evening workshops. The 2011 Institute's opening speaker Blake Rubin returns with an update on partnership and real estate tax law. Popular keynote luncheon speaker Karen Hawkins, Director of the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility, returns to give the keynote luncheon presentation. - Wednesday - Estate Planning
Wednesday remains dedicated to estate planning issues. Jeffrey Pennell, the Richard H. Clark Professor of Law at Emory University's School of Law, will provide his trademark morning update. California State Controller John Chiang will provide the keynote luncheon presentation.
