Akin Gump Pro Bono Scholars Program for 1Ls
Feb 2, 2018 from 12:00 PM - 1:50 PM
Dear Class of 2020:
Are You Interested In A Big Law Job For Your 1L Summer?! Join Us For Lunch on Friday, February 2nd…
Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP offers a unique opportunity and is seeking top 1L students to apply at its Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C. offices. Its 1L summer program—the pro bono scholars program—provides 1Ls an opportunity to work both at the firm (as a summer associate) and at a public interest organization during their first summer. Its 1Ls are paid the regular summer associate salary for the time spent at the firm plus a $17,000 stipend for the time spent at the public interest organization.
No prior public interest experience is necessary. Akin Gump is looking for students who ultimately want to practice in a big firm, and this program also includes returning to the firm next year (as rising 3Ls) to spend the entire summer in the firm’s general summer associate program.
Please join us for a presentation on Friday, February 2, 2018 and RSVP to Scott Arsenault at email@example.com.
